Well I guess it was bound to happen. 2 thieves tried to break into the bed of my SD last night while I was watching tv. If it wasn't for the guy's dog across the street barking I probably would of not got up to see these guys around my truck. I guess they we're trying to pop the tonneau cover to see what they could steal. Anyway I picked up my keys and set off the alarm and these 2 guys where gone like jackrabbits. I guess that $350 I spent for the alarm and remote start was really worth it. Anyway I called the police and when the showed up they said this has been going on alot around here and the can't seem to catch them.
Any way thanks for letting me vent. I guess I owe that dog across the street from me some doggie treats!
Count your blessings. Someone heisted a pair of large wooden replicas of ford Trucks off of our front porch- and the three dogs didn't notice. Which means it was probably someone they knew...
Sounds like it's time to upgrade that alarm system with a product from your favorite US, German, or Austrian friends (Mr. Smith and Mr. Wesson, Mr. Heckler and Mr. Koch, or Mr. Glock, depending on your taste)!
I'll give you that one. German Shepherd would be my choice... although you get bonus points for having a Belgian Malinois instead (those dogs are cool!)

I've been waiting for a reason to try out my new AK, and if it had to be at the expense of a few bullet holes in my truck, it would be more than worth it. Someone would learn their lesson the hard way! Nothing like have a few 7.62x39 rounds through your leg. haa haa.
Silver- an AK might be a little harsh. I live on a main drag in the city, and have had minor-but annoying- vandalism. Throwing trash in my bed, kicking over trash cans, theft of a miter saw. I've caught the trash kickers twice- a slingshot with a 3/8" pellet was fun. Wish I had my air rifle set up.
Throwing trash in the back of your truck or tipping over a trash can is alot different then someone trying to break into it. I've spent too much time and money on my rig to let some sorry Edited out punk steal my truck (or anything in it for that matter).
any old dog from a junk yard will work. around my home i have many choices of friends. mr s&w, mr. remington, mr. winchester. my best choice is mr. 10 gauge. side by side.
i have the ford alarm and it goes off every time the ricer up the hill drives by with boom , boom going.
