Is there any certain type of grease I should use for my balljoint?
I had my lower balljoints on my 98 4x4 replaced a while ago, and one was from Ford (sealed) and the other was a greaseable one. Well over the last year I've been getting my oil changed at work since I got a discount, and haven't been under my truck as much. So I changed my oil the other day in my garage and noticed the lower control arm is kind of... 'wet' looking around the balljoint, and after bouncing the truck by hand, I have a bad (and familiar) squeak coming from that area. So needless to say, I need to put new grease in there, just wondering if there is any certain grease I need to use, and hope my balljoint is still okay and the squeak goes away
Well since nothing on the truck is greasable, I don't know.
But I guess that's good enough, gives me something else to do out in the garage today. Slip-yoke is begging to be greased again too... ClUnK!
stupid driveshaft . . .
