Phantom Short

I Seem To Have An Electrical Short, Cannot Find Where It Is, When I Remove The Batterycable I Get A Strong Spark, The Battery Runs To Zero In About A Week Or So. I Know That There Is Always Some Draw Due To Clock But I Do Not Know How Much. Anyone Have A Number For The Draw When The Ignition Is Off? I Tried Pulling All The Fuses 1 By 1 And Could Only Reduce The Draw By A Small Amount. Thanks

Before anything, check that all the interior lights are working correctly and turned off: dome light, map lights, visor lights, glove box light, ash tray light, under hood light, ect.

Disconnect the negative cable and place a test light between the cable and battery terminal - volt meter won't work. Then make sure the doors are closed and hood light is disconnected, then start pulling fuses one by one. If not there, then disconnect the alternator and regualtor and headlight switch.

Let us know what you find.
