TPS calibration

Elsewhere in this forum, someone mentioned TPS calibration. I just installed a new TPS (as well as other sensors) but didn't find any mention of calibration procedures in my manual. It's a 1988 with 5.8L engine. Am I missing something, 'cause the truck's not running so well.

check out fordfuelinjection.com under the sensor section. Its gives a great write up on TPS issues.

If you have everything hooked back up you can still check the voltage to the TPS, it should read from .8 to 1.0 volt's, turn the key to the run position, not running, and probe the green wire with the pos. probe and a good ground with the neg probe, you will get a more accurate reading with a digatal meter, if it's off you will have to take off the TB and loosen the screws of the TPS and move till you get the proper volt, there really isent much adjustment there, but just enough to move it alittle bit...
