I have a 1994 Bronco in very good condition. The horn stopped working. The speed control stopped working as well. I have checked all the fuses which appear to be fine. There are 13 pages of wireing diagrams in my Haynes repair manuel. Could the problem be in the steering column since both the horn & speed control operate from the steering wheel? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Bill.
Thanks "BroncoRoadKill", "greystreak92" ,& "JasonBrod" for your suggestions. I used them all, eventually changing the clock spring. My horn is no longer silent & I have speed control again. Thanks again, Bill.
Hi Mr. Hanson...just wondering...when this happened, did you overdrive light start flashing at all?...adversely affecting the way it shifted? ...my horn died and my Overdrive light started flashing at the same time...wondering if i have the same problem with the clockspring....also, was there anything noticeable with the clockspring indicating it was bad? ...hope to hear from you, thanks!
I lost my horn and cruise control. Had no problems with the overdrive or the overdrive light flashing. The new clock spring solved the problem. It cost me over $300.00 to have it replaced at the local Ford dealership. Bill.
good advice bill i replaced my horn relay only to find out it was both of my horns had some sort of insect bird spider etc. living in them ha needless to say they were relocated to the ghetto aka the trash can
