I got this email from a friend today, and would like to hear some advice/opinions from the folks that use these things. TIA.
"My 10 year old Granddaughter want to buy a Blackberry...Is this the one to buy. I know absolutely nothing about this stuff..Is there other stuff..Like Palm, or something from NOK or AAPL??? Any advice would be appreciated..."
what does she really want?
1. to communicate wireless with other people (email etc.)
2. listen to mp3's
3. manage computer files
my guess is she wants to listen to music (brittany, etc. ) gak.....
maybe just an ipod?
does she already have a computer? i know.... 10 years old, but
kids start this stuff early.
And the answer is...read email, although she'll probably use the rest of the features as time goes on. I know, I know- she's only 10, but kids do start this stuff early.
I have an iPAQ by HP and I love it. It has wi-fi, bluetooth, and gprs radios in it, it is also a phone (T-mobile only). They have a lot of models, depending on what your needs are.
Wow, was i wrong, i would have bet for sure it was music.
If it is e-mail she wants, whatever platform you choose.
remember that somebody (Grandpa?) will have to pay
for the service. I guess after that is determined.....
then pick the device.
