i went into radio shack a couple days ago just to buy alligator clips to build an ignition tester, and holy @%&*! they have some neat stuff in there! it made me want to get out the soldering iron and build something! maybe some cool guage using lcd displays and power meters, or maybe a amp or something. anyone know how i can learn how to build neat electrical stuff? like a book or something?

The best source is called the Internet everything is on there - I don't mean to sound like a jerk, but pretty much instructions for anything conceivable can be found via google, ask jeeves, etc. Google Pringles Antenna, cool little high power wireless antenna that costs about 4 bux to make.
