It looks quite tan on the color chart. I agree green and tan seems weird, but not out of the question. Wimbledon White was very popular on the two-tone paintjobs, but that would be code "M".
On edit - it doesn't look like "QW" was available, but "QM" was. You sure you read the code right? Maybe they had the "M" die in upside down when they stamped your doorplate.
edit- Also, you can use this form to request a build sheet for your truck directly from Ford. I did and they sent me a letter telling me quite a bit about my rig. It takes a while (about 5 weeks), but I thought it was cool.

My '70 still has a 302 and the way it sounds I'd say it's original. I wonder if the automatic is a c-4 or c-6? My first car was a 65 stang and I was always having tranny trouble (c-4) . Does anyone have an opinion on c4 verses the c6 tranny? I go real easy on my truck after my experience with my mustang, which was mostly due to my age (16) at the time...many years ago.

Achtung
The 302 should be connected to a C4. C6s were usually connected to larger engines. Look at the pan the C6 has one corner different from the other 3. There is a comparison posted somewhere, but my crs has kicked in.
I have seen a lot of C6's in station wagons and pick ups behind a 302. At some time in the mid to late 60's maybe early 70's they used a C5 in wagons which was a beefed up C4. Not sure if they were used in trucks. I think I remember the pan looks the same on a C5, but the filter inside is different than a C4.
I'd be surprised if the 302 truck came with a C4 - I'm pretty sure the only automatic offered in trucks at the time was a C6.
The C5 came out in the mid to late 70s on the Mustang II. It was basically the same as a C4 but with a different valve body and a primitive (by today's computer controlled standards) lockup torque converter. The valve body is thought to be inferior to the C4. In fact, a popular C5 mod is installing a C4 valve body.
