Door tag source, build info??
Just picked up a really nice nearly rust-free '68 F250. Unfortunately, the door tag is missing, so I don't have any of the build info (axles, trans, color, etc.). Anyone have a source for build info from the VIN? Also, is there somewhere that custom makes the door tags if I get the info?

Well, I sorta answered my own question. If anyone is interested, you can get tags and build info from Marti Auto Works http://www.martiauto.com/

You can look the VIN up on the frame of your truck. On the right (passenger side) frame near/ right behind where the front tire is, the VIN is stamped on your frame...there is another spot on the frame that it is located, but further back on the same side. Might have to scrub a little grime off to read it. Then go to the Ford customer service website and fill out the request form...Ford will send you a data sheet on your truck... here is the website...
