hey guys, just thought i would share this with ya, cuz i was FLOORED when i saw it. i watched a guy in a 1990 f150, 347 with nitrous, and a mazda 5 speed run 12.50 in the quarter today. went and found him, nice guy named glen from the bristol area, and he said he ran a personal best this morning of 12.02. if somebody had told me yesterday that you could run 12's with the mazda m5od, i would have called em a liar and probably said dirty things about their mama. but today, all i could say was DAMN. sorry to ramble, still kinda shaken by the whole thing.....

If you beef it up, I'm sure an m50d could take the HP, especially if you get a racing clutch. Plus, out of all the f series manual trannies, it probably has the shortest shifter throw around, which would make it easier to get into the 12's with than any other manual tranny.
