I didn't catch that it was an antique thread until I got to the guy that said he was up to the $2.50's/gal in CA. Ah, good times, good times.

I don't know how old you are, but it has been under $1.00 here in northwest Indiana within the last 10 years.

When we married gas was 19 cents so this thread may not be the only antique here.

I am 25 years old. Started driving when I was 15 1/2. 19 cents? was that back in the 50's. LOL

69.9 cents at Arco is the lowest I can remember, either in the late 80's or early 90's, and that was a big drop from $1.15 or so from the mid 80's.

one of the best ways to moderate your driving is to install a vacuum gauge in the cab...lets you know when your putting the fuel in and when and how to save.

79 bronco with modded 466, 38.5 inch boggers, 10 inches of lift, and 4.10 gears gets 8 or 9 mpg if i don't get down on it too much

79 Bronco 400 C6 NP205 4.56 gears 6" lift and 37" Iroks
I got about 10 MPG when I took it easy, and when in the mud I checked once and got 4.5 mpgs.

my 86 bronco has a 351w, holley 750, 6inch suspension lift, 3inch body lift, 35's, and i have a led foot and i get about 8mpg city/maybe 9-10 highway if i keep it 55 or under, but after 65mph i get like 4mpg

1993 EB 351w, 31" stock- 15 gpm. yes, I know it says GPM. That is what it feels like after putting nearly $100 for gas.

I have a 1988 5.0 with a c6 and 3.73's that will get 13mpg unloaded or 12mpg pulling a 16 foot ski boat. I am about to install a 5-speed, and am hoping for 15mpg or so.
