Fuel boiling?
I noticed another issue today when the engine was idling for about 15 minutes or so and I shut it off. I heard two seperate gurgling sounds. The first was coming from the radiator and the overflow, boiling over apparently. The second was coming fromt eh fuel line, and I noticed the fuel was bubbling in the line/filter. The pump seems to be causing a very lean mixture in the engine. I know a lean mixture creates a lot more heat. Can this lean mixture cause the engine to start to overheat and boil the coolant/fuel???
NOTE: New radiator installed 2 weeks ago, water pump is operational, as is the thermostat. Timing is set to 8 degrees BTDC.
Here are a few things to check.
Pull a spark plug and see if it is dry and white, a result of being lean.
Also verify that the float level is correct in the carb.
Do the exhaust manifolds glow orange. May have to check this at night.

Check for vacuum leaks along the intake to head areas and carb to manifold areas. Make sure that all unused vacuum ports are plugged.
Also check for a possible blown head gasket it all else checks out.
