If you're referring to the console with floor shift, no, they won't have it (2007, maybe?). They're making the Lariat Luxury Package standard on all Lariats, the Amarillo package will be available nationwide, and there will be a Chrome Package (billett grille, chrome tow hooks, mirrors and tie-downs, etc...) available on the XLT. That's about it.
This is gonna be a tough question for a lot of people. '07: supposedly all-new, "Tonka Truck" concept inspired styling, ver aggressive. Lots of changes and improvements, probably on the level of the switch between the '03 and '04 F-150. '06: the last year of any model run for Ford tends to be the best in relation to reliability (all the bugs worked out.) The classic "Super-Duty" look that started it all, should hold up well with time. I'm just glad I don't have to make this decision, because I honestly don't know which way I'd go, either. That was a lot of help, wasn't it?
I ordered the 05 with the plan that if I do not like the new design I have a truck that I know I like how it looks. If I really like the new design I will be forced to wait until they havethe bugs worked out but I would eventually trade\sell it to get a new one.
Tha tbeing said it is a tough choice. I think if I already had a truck I would wait but I am Truck less (for another 2 weeks)

I do have to make that decision, and it isn't easy. Mrs. Bear is helping a bit, though- reminded me how I've been whining ever since '97 because I didn't buy the last of that bodystyle PSD.
haha, i hear you on that one polar bear. my brother has a 97, but bought it with 250,000 on it last year, and its up to almost 300,000. he is just wishing he had a low milage one, because they are few and far between with a manual trans.
Ya it's been rough for the wife and i to decided. Wait for the '07 in hopes i like it and if i dont buy a used SD. Or just go ahead and get an '06 and if the new style is something i MUST have then wait till they got the bugs worked and trade or sell then get an '07+.
Odds are i'll be getting an '06 cause i dont know how much longer i'll be able to wait with out having something to haul with.

We just had a mint '97 F250 RC 4X4 w/73K miles bounce through the lot for about $18k! True, that was a rust-free Nwst truck with a PSD and a 5-spd, but still- as I recall, that's not much less than they sold for new.
