I went by Choctaw Bob's instructions and I wasn't sure what I was supposed to find . The vent was only about 4 inches long so I cut it back to about an inch. I guess it let fuel go in easier, I just wanted to see if I had done it right or not.
I cut my vent pipe off within about one inch of the top of the tank and it took 35 gallons to refill it from a bone dry state. I usually run until the gauge is pretty close to empty and the Overhead says 25 miles or so to empty and it takes 31 - 32 gallons to fill up.
Does anybody have information on the approximate increase on the 29 gallon tank? Thanks!
Russ
Really there is no more of an increase depending on how you filled it up before it would just take so much longer to get there and most would just give up before they got there. Like stated before you can get on a dry tank about 34 gallons in it or so with a (29 gallon) tank go figure.
