heads question

i heard somewhere that you can put 5.8 heads on a 5.0. is this true? if so, any modifications i have to do and/or tips?

Its true. You need special spacers from ford racing etc since the 5.8 take larger head bolts. Also, keep in mind that over 30 years there were various castings and you must do your homework for your application and goals.

After the mid 80s, the 5.0 and 5.8 Broncos got the same heads, typically E7TE.

ARP makes both a bolt kit and a stud kit. I got the bolt kit for mine. The 351/5.8 uses 1/2 bolts verses the 302/5.0s 7/16 bolts. The kit consists of special bushing-washers that fit the head and slightly longer bolts. Picture in the ad is not representative of the part.
