Hencho en Mexico
I have got an older mexican block that had been punched .030 and has a mild rv cam. I have bought an Isky cam but I dont know my compression ratio or if the heads have been milled. I am sure they have as they are 65 289 heads with hardened seats. I want to raise the comp. to at least 10:1 but I want an idea of what I have or what I have to do to figure it out before I tear her down for the hop up.

Basically you're gonna have to cc the heads and do the math. CC'ing the heads will tell you if they've been milled, if you can't tell by marks normally left on the surface by the milling process, or by comparing them to a known-to-be unmilled head. -TD
