What are the dangers of overfilling the transmission?

Overfilling will cause much turbulance and result in cavitation of the fluid.
This air filled fluid is then pumped through the transmission and will result in lower pressure causing slips and you looking for the *** kicking tree.

If the fluid/foam exits the transmission via the dipstick tube and then hits hot exhaust parts, the old girl might catch on fire.
