I am having a cold Idle problem with my 92 f150 302. It is ether a high idle or stalling. I know in other makes there is a valve (I forget what it is called) that allows air past bypass the throttle body when the engine is cold to maintain the proper idle. Does the 302 have such a devise? And where is it?
The idle air bypass valve is located on top of the throttle body. It's near the flexible hose from the airfilter box. If you take it off, see if it is dirty inside. You can clean it carefully, try not to get anything in the electrical part of it. I've cleaned them with spray carb cleaner. It should help.
