I see he has a starting bid of $30K and ZERO bids so far. Big Surprise, huh?
When you hire a pro shop to restore your rig, don't harbor any silly ideas of getting our money out of it. I know I don't (if we EVER get our '67 T-bird back from Thunderbird Vintage).
No reason for the guy to make a rude response to an e-mail inquiry. Like the little sign on my gun show table says, "We entertain all offers, and we'll tell you if we find them entertaining."
I don't understand the madness for '79 Fords. I guess I must be old. I don't see 70's rigs as old or collectible. I got my battered '77 F250 cheap, and I got it because it hauls things. If I want looks, I'll go back a another two or three decades -- and I'll still haul things.

That is the difference between me and you Lane, I don't care for the look of the older F models but I could'nt imagine not having a 79 in my garage. Everyone has their own personal preference as to what looks better. 30K is a little steep for the truck no doubt BUT if he sells it more power to him. You never know someone might have just won the lottery and has been wanting a truck for years like it. All in the eyes of who is putting out the $$$$. Will he sell? Probably not but it is worth a try.
Well, they are nice looking trucks. If I ever accidentally got one that was really straight and shiny, I guess I might feel compelled to keep it that way.
I'm just having trouble thinking of 70's as old enough to be collectable. Maybe that means I'm old enough to be collectable.
I guess the dents that came with my '77 are what keep me from worrying about what might happen to it in the woods. I can throw firewood into it and not worry about a thing.

yeah you never know a sudden alien invasion might happen too, and suddenly snap up all the 70s F150s but his, or maybe a rust virus will suddenly be developed and anything with rust will suddenly fall into a pile of dust, and blow away, then donald trump might decide he just has to have one that is still around, and lay out the money. But get real I just watched a auto auction, and a Mach 1 mustang with the origanal 390 only brought 50k and this guy thinks he is gonna get anywhere near that for a not origanal F150 that is just stock hahahahaha good luck I figure it's worth maybe $12,000 to some fool but then again a fool, and his money are soon parted.
I agreed that 30K is too much, But everything is for sale for the right price. I don't think Donalds wife would handle riding around in an old Ford truck anyhow.
The Donald's wife probably rates a Moller M400 Skycar, but us ordinary mortals are happy to ride in a nice solid pickup truck, with a bit of American Style.
