Throttle body spacer

Will a throttle body spacer help my Ranger? I've got a 2000 2.5L I4. Has anyone out there tried one on their own truck? I've been looking into one, but I'm getting mixed reviews. Any information you have will help. Thanx.

ditto, instead, save some more money and buy a diablo chip, best bang for your buck. Its only like 200 bucks too, and will do about 20 times more a TB spacer will do.
