98 Explorer question
I mostly hang out in the 7.3 powerstroke section but I just bought a 98 explorer xlt with the 4.0L engine. Two quick questions, first is my rear wiper will work then wont come on for a couple of days, then it will work again for weeks. Any ideas on where to look, I will check the plug to the motor this weekend. Funny thing is the washer part works but the wiper wont move. Second, any info on what is a common problem with this year of suv to keep my eyes open for would be appreciated. Thanks for any info...

cam chain tensioners (recall item), intake manifold gasket leaks (recall item), upper and lower ball joints (sealed, no zercs), inner tie rods, outer tie rods, IAC valve, heater blend door, rear end sag especially if used for towing, driver seat recliner lever breakage, radio display outage and high heat in CD player, low thermostat life
