While putzing about, I saw this wire end. It's by the driver's side battery, in front of it attached to the framing. The pic is how I found it, open-ended, two small holes. Guesses?
I think it's the plug in for the optional dehydrating crossfired draft induction system. Just kidding, I haven't got a clue, but it was worth the guess. Good luck.
It's got to be for some accessory that niether you or I have.....I've got the same thing just sitting there on my 2000 F350. Stealer could tell you.....maybe.
Thing is, someone might know where the other end of it is and I might be able to utilize it for some flash-bang, gisswizzy-thingamajig relay switch.
Or something close to it.
Guess tomorrow I'll see it has power to it, turn everything on and use process of elimination, etc...
Rod. it comes out of a wire bundle that goes under tha battery box. It is a two wire black connector, that is affixed to the front header with one of those plastic attachment hold downs. If you turn you monitor's brightness up.....you'll see it to the right and further down the panel from that ground wire bolt.
Jake I haven't seen it on mine. Stick a test light in it, see if it has power and when. kind looks like it might be for a relay for the fog lights, but why they put it there I have no clue. anyone have fog lights on the SD, run check please.
I just checked and mine has a plug in it with two wires going down the front of the drivers side battery. I didn't trace them, but I do have the fog lights so you may be onto something. '02 F250 CC PSD 4X4 SB.

You say its attached to the frame??? like a ground for something, or it goes into the wiring on the frame???
possibly something for fog lights??? any of you have the fog lights??
Diesel Rod
Diesel, Not a ground, just clipped to the frame, it's a plug end. Yes, I do have the stock "fog" lights.
Just checked for power on it, had everything running except the big screen tv <yeah-right>. No power on meter. The two wires coming from under it are dual-colored, one is red/green and the other is yellow/black. Here's a closer pic.
Sorry bout the blur, couldn't hold the camera still enough with coffee in the other hand. What? Put the coffee down? No way!
