need advice
hey guys, i got a white 03 f250 and had it in for rail dust on the paint about a year. i was just washing it last weekend and noticed its back again and this time it appears its under the clearcoat. i tried a clay bar and rubbing compound but couldnt get anywhere. to my understanding ford covers it only 1 year or 12,000 miles from the date of purchase and ive now had the truck for a year and a half and have 16,000 miles on it. my question is should i take it back to the dealer and try to get them to fix this under warranty. in my mind the problem must not have been fixed right the first time and it seems rather strange its under the clearcoat. any ideas guys.

It's worth a shot. It may all come down to the relationship you have with the dealer and how well you present your case. You might find yourself going all the way to the GM, owner, or even a Ford rep.
