Do I have the right paint code?
I'm tyring to find out if I have the correct paint code or not. My 77 Ford F-150 was repainted using the dark brown color Ford orginally used that year. I think its called sequoia brown but I've also have heard it refered to as root beer brown. I need to order some paint and have to have the Ford paint code in order to do so. My Ford shop manual says the code for the dark brown is "R". Is this correct? I just want to make sure since there are various browns listed in the manual. THANKS!!

If it is original, the paint code should be on the door ID plate?
On 67-72 Ford F100, "R" was the code for Sequia Brown, not sure on later years.
