Go to the Hastings sit on the net, I'm sure you can email them with your needs. I do
have a question how did you end up with a .045 bore?

I'd like to know that also. That's an odd overbore size. Typically, it would be .010", .020", .030", or .060" overbore.

Years ago it was not uncommon to bore engines .040. A lot of things were done when
dollars and resources were tight. Semi fiinshed pistons were ground in local shops to fit
what ever, the same with cranks and semi finished inserts. Todays labor cost would
make this impractical. The only thing I found odd was the extra .005. Perhaps it
was a mistake on one hole and they went on and made them all that way, or the pistons
were at hand as they and not correct. Sad part is you have the mess of finding rings.

You might try Red's Headers online. They're very helpful folks who actually work with and run flatheads. If Red can't supply the rings he'll know who does I bet.

Since it is only .005 you may get away with a .040 set. Std rings take care of wear and
taper up to almost .010, and each size above it would handle up the .010 above it. We don,t see cylinders tapered like that any more, as a matter of fact you have to think were you have your ridge reamer stored the wear just isn't there . That was one of the reasons I suggested Hastings they may have a semi fitted ring which you would have
to file the end gaps to the cylinder.
