I just bought a 1982 f100. It needs a little refreshing, but otherwise is a really strong truck. (Especially for the 500 bucks I paid for it). I'd like to take the bench seat out and put a 60/40 split bench or buckets in it. Do any of you out there know of any seat that directly replaces it? I also had a thought about the floors. I spent this afternoon pulling the original floor mat and the insulation out. What do you guys think about using spray-in bed liner for the floorboard? This will primarily be a work/boat-pulling truck so I don't want carpet. Any response is GREATLY appreciated.
Hi, any of the newer trucks up to 96 will definitely fit including captains seats from the bronco they even have a plastic console between them if you want to use it.

Hi, the seats should have the same bolt pattern unless you use captains seats then you would have to drill the extra two holes for each seat. John (fatforty)

Hi Calvin, if you take out the insulation and spray the floor you will get alot of road noise, if you want it to be quiet you should put back the vinyl mat with insulation or go with carpet. I have an 86 lariat as a work truck and the carpet stays pretty nice just have to sweep it out once in a while.

Thanks again for your input. I think I'll be junkyard shopping this weekend. I'm going to go ahead and order a new matt also instead of the spray in. Thanks once again.
I ripped the vinyl mat out of my truck. The previous owner must have gotten the insulation underneath it wet because it smelled constantly, no matter what I sprayed in the truck.
I ordered a carpet kit from summit racing (yes, they carry carpet kits for those that didn't know), the carpet only ccost me $100.00 and I added a little more insulation underneath the seat where there wasn't any on the carpet itself. Man what a difference. 100% quieter much cooler in the summertime, and warmer in the winter. The carpet has been in a little over a year now and has held up well. I wouldn't hesitate ordering another carpet kit from them.
Plus if you order the vinyl mat, it won't cost you near what having bedliner material sprayed in would have!

I'll take the advice for sure. I just need to clean up the floorboard first. I have so many things I want to do and so little time and money to do them. I'm trying to do the important stuff first. Thanks again.
Yeah plus it's hard to find anything to customize an 80-96 Ford pickup. Well at least the 80-91 models.
I found some custom hoods, but they run a little expensive for my taste.
Here's the one I really like. It's called the GT-500, & it's made by usbodysource. At $539.00 I think I'll be waiting a while to buy one!
