I bought new badges and acetoned them, and then stuck them on. I didnt want to take a chance on damaging the paint on the truck. The acetone (or brake clean) takes the black paint off the badges is seconds. My truck is an XLT, but the XLT part of the badge is paint. The lariat part of the badge is an emblem so it is not effected by the acetone. So now i have Lariat badges.
PS ruined one new XLT badge finding this out.
hey blue96spd,yes its a 2001 dually black w/tan and red 7.3litre that was tweeked at jannetty racing on east main in waterbury.he did the stacks for me.the truck is just shy of 450hp and can pull the moon out of orbit. its my first diesel truck, but i run heavy equipment for a living so im used to it. what do u drive? r there many others that r local?was thinking about goin up to the berlin tpke this weekend do some cruisin.havent been up there in years

jannetty can hook u up w/a chip for about 450$ everything u need and not big steam.the whole package for me was 2800$but that was two birthdays a fathers day and two christmases lol.now the problem isnt goin its stoppin.laid it up this weekend for brakes, rotors and all, warped one.caliper bracket frozen cant readjust calipers to new rotor, truck down till monday when i can get new bracket.
now damn that def blows big ones hearing about your brakes but see for a 20 yr would builds pools 2800 is heavy steam lol what kinda chip did you get a 4 or 6 position chip and what kinda burns did u get on it
not exactly sure about the technicals, but he told me it was cutting edge he took the chip and went out to his new dyno bldg and played on the comp he hooked me up real well.my neighbor and him used to drag at lebanon together, they are old friends so he hooked me up as a favor.tell you one thing my mileage went from 12 to 20 mpg! hopin to hear about a meet so i can meet some people that r into it like us

CUT OFF THE CAT!!!!!!!!! I have 4.50" downpipe and NOTHING ELSE! no cat no mufflers and it sounds mint.if anything put in a resonator tube,it will tone it down, and still sound sweet.dont want any backpressure lose hp. just let it breathe, and you'll notice the difference as soon as you go 4 the first ride.do you know of any good sites for truck accessories?want to look 4 diamond plate mudflaps, but cant find them anywhere.want to take out my bedliner and do spray on liner too. liner looks ratty with two squares cut out around the pipes good luck with your pipes, and if it gets tough walk away.bud never helped me with my cars, but he sure ****ed a few up!!!lol later
