Another timing question

Ok here it goes, another timing question........... Sorry but I'm on my learning curve here. I have a 351m with the following in it: Street MSD Pro billet Part # 8477, MSD 6A Ignition box, Edelbrock performer intake, mild can but don't know specs, reinforced springs on heads, super comp ceramic coated headers, Commander pro 950 fuel injection system, it has been bored .30 over. That is as much as I know about the engine. CAN ANYONE TELL ME THE TIMING SPECS AND HOW TO SET IT. Don't have any manuals on it either. Thanks for any help forthcomming..............

With all those mods you should put it on a machine to set it right. There is no way to determine what is right without some kind of instruments.

I agree, a chassis dyno is the only way to set it right. The money is well spent.

Thanks guys. Would you happen to know a starting point? According to my findings on the net it says it should be between 8 and 10 but all stock. Thanks again guys........

Mine is set to 8 degrees BTDC. You have to watch out that the total advance does not become too much after the mechanical advance comes in. Your motor can detonate at high RPMs and you will not know it. Detonation will destroy your pistons.
