hey guys, has anyone purchased a carpenter interior kit for the 48 - 52 cab?, in the description it said u had to cut the hood section to allow for the larger window, but if i remember correctly the factory bound and stitched the edging, i have a nice original 52 and 48 that i don't have the heart to rod, but if i can't replace the original masonite trim, i may as well go to town on them.

The headliner will have to be cut because the hole for the rear window is larger for '51-52. There is seambinding sewn along other edges but not where they contact the rear window. I'll put a photo in my gallery. ...Terry

So is the headliner basically 3 flat pieces seamed together and then at the back at the window? Is there a screw at the center of it? The one you have does it also have the dome light? Thanks for the pix it makes it clearer.

Hamz52, yes, the headliner is basically three large pieces sewn together. The side pieces have seambinding sewn along the edges (but not at the window). The side pieces attach to the top with a 1" wide strip which is sewn along part of the edges of the top and the side pieces. This 1" wide strip acts like a hinge. The top (see the photo above or my gallery) has a larger hole for the dome light and it's switch. There is a small hole near the middle that holds the top piece up to the roof of the cab. I'll add a couple more photos to my gallery. ...Terry

I checked out your gallery to get a better idea, thanks for the updated pix. Have you made one for Rosie and if so how did it come out? Did you have
extras of yor templates or even just approximate measurements?
