Starting Problem
My '67 F100 won't crank. Battery is strong and starter turns over but won't start. I tracked the problem to the wire that connects the coil to the distributer. Took it to NAPA and they said it was arcing. So replaced the wire, it cranked fine a few times, came back to it a few days later and it still does same thing. Strange part is I can disconnect the wire, put an allen wrench in it, hold it close to the distributer connector, turn it over, and it will spark. Then, reconnect the wire to the distributer and bingo, it cranks.
I'm assuming it's either the coil or the distributer. How can I test to see if they are good or not?
