80's custom vans
Has anyone seen or know if any of the extended, custom vans, were made using "300ci w/manual set ups?" Also, if one could find a raised roof that would fit the 80's extended van, is installing it a DIY project?
For health reasons (can't drive 10 hour days anymore), I would like to find or make a traveling van with raised roof, and 6 cyl and manual trans (for the best milage) and gear to run 55 to 60 in direct.

For that kind of weight (raised roof, and custom interior) a 351 will have more power and probably get better mileage. I had a mild custom '92 that got 17mph highway with an OD... If you want a manual I'd sugest a T56. But that's just me.
