Just got my first X.
On the passenger side sun visor ther arent the 2 visors like the drivers side, the little "under one" is missing....or doesn't it come with the truck?
What's the deal with the roof racks rubbing on the paint? Are there any kits or racks that are just about 1/4" higher that won't rub the paint off?
What are some good mats to get in her, mine didn't come with any so I'm looking for a nice sturdy set. I have a 7month old and a 4 year old who will do all they can to tear up the interior of this truck..lol I've been looking at the Nifty Xtreme mat set, not cheap at over $300 for the whole kit and kaboddle, but they look best of those that I have seen online.
OH yea , what's up with the tires on this thing...how can I find out if they are /have been recalled?

On to your questions:
The roof racks you should just take off. There probably is a kit out there for it, but unless you actually plan on using the roof racks, don't bother.
The "under visior" is there on mine and I have an '01, so it should definately be there on yours. Talk to your dealer, you're still under factory warranty, so they should fix it gratis. Speaking of that, you should shoot for a good Ford brand extended warranty just in case something goes wrong and you're short on cash. Don't wait until 36K to do it, by then it'll be too late and too expensive.
The stock mats, (in addition to aftermarket ones) you can probably find on ebaymotors no problem for a good price.
As far as the tires, I'm not sure; but if they're load range "D" tires, I think they're the recalled ones. If the dealership won't change them out, the best tires you can buy are Michelin LTX/MS load range "E". They have some of the longest lasting tires that can take a beating and then some.
I hope this helps and again welcome to FTE!
Catch all makes some really good mat's. They have them for the front's, back seat and third row seat along with a nice rear cargo area mat. They can get pricey for the carpted ones but are well worth it. Husky makes them also and they are nice. You can get them at Stylinconcepts or Summitracing or any truck place. They both are molded and hold lots of water or spilled drinks.
Taking the cross bars out of the roof rack is pretty simple and worth it to save the paint. If you need a roof rack I think there are some aftermarket ones out there.
My 01 has the the extra visor also and mines just an XLT, so you should have it on a Limited.
