I'd just like to say congratulations to polarbear (Ernie)! We've talked a number of times, via PM and phone, and I've found him to be straight-forward, knowledgeable and honest. I think it's great that we now have an upstanding sales rep for our west coast FTE members. Although I'm not quite sure about that one clause: "...If the order can be cancelled by Suburban Ford with Ford Motor Company, or if the vehicle arrives on the Van Bortel lot and subsequently sells within 30 days, then the deposit will be refunded to the FTE user..."

See, if it hits our lot, and you sell it, the person who ordered it is off the hook! I bet I proof-read that thing 20 times- go figure (I assume everyone knows how that's supposed to read). Thanks for the kind words and the encouragement- the Left-Coasters needed a contact too.

Also, Ken deserves thanks for making this happen.

Way to go for West coasters. Isn't it ironic that this also applies to Chevy's? I think it should be in FTE's best interest to keep this deal to excusively Ford brand. I wouldn't want to see other manufacturers to join this FTE's deal. Just had to spill my thoughts out.

Ford Motor Company is not involved in this program. This is a program by a dealer. This dealer also happens to sell Chevys. Let's not let brand bigotry get in front of taking care of potential customers.

Congratulations polarbear!, but...
I feel uncomfortable with chevy's being offered on the site also. I don't see the value in giving bandwidth to GM, and feel that in the long run it will attract an undesirable element to these boards. (There are enough diesel/gasser troll wars, imagine the ford/chevy problems!)

Hopefully, everyone understands that this isn't an attempt to add Chevy bandwidth. We happen to have a unique situation where the bowtie and blue oval facilities occupy the same piece of Real Estate, so I guess the question is why not offer FTE members that option? Chevy inquiries should be handled per pm for obvious reasons.

Time for people who worry about the Chevy's to get over it and stop taking it so seriously. I bet at least half the users here have something other than a Ford in addition to their Ford truck.

Topic closed. Really irks me that people have to take a great announcement for the users and turn it into pettiness.
