Help with vin decode
I just bought three 73-79 trucks for parts. One of the three is what's left of a 1979 F-150 4X4 that center punched a tree. The only things worth salvaging may be the trans, transfer case and rear end. Here's the question.
The trans is manual with a code of "F". Is this the one with granny gear?
The rearend has a "H2 code". Any idea what this is?
Which transfercase would be in this truck? Thanks.

The Term *Granny Gear* means: Low Gear
aka: First gear.
Every trans has a *Granny Gear* some are just lower/higher ratios than others .
