I just done a front brake job on an 02 Escape. Put new rotors and pads. After the brakes got done the pedal was low when stopping. don't know why. So, I figured maybe there might have been a chance that air got in the lines. Anyways, I was bleeding the front calipers when drivers side stopped pulling fluid out and the passenger side was pulling no air or fluid out. Now the truck has no brakes. There is no pressure in the pedal what so ever. Any ideas?
Have someone get in car... open bleeder.. have them push and hold brake pedal down... close bleeder... let pedal up... wait 15 seconds and repeat. Do this to each side until no more air comes out.
Then go find a gravel road and lock up the brakes (engage the ABS) and repeat the bleeding process. If you don't have ABS this step isn't necessary.
Did you open the bleeders when you pushed in the caliper pistons? I've heard of damaging ABS components by not opening the bleeders during this process.
