Well.... It just depends on what you want/ expect. What are the casting numbers on your heads? Other than doing a good quality rebuild on them with hardended exhaust valve seats, 3-angle valve seat grind, guides reworked (there are some options there), getting surfaces checked for being flat and level, valve stem heights being within spec and all even, there isn't really much else to do. I may have forgotten something but someone will catch that.

Rusty I have C2SE-C 406 heads. Do you have those flow numbers? There were only 3 different 406 head castings. The C2SE-B,C with 64-67 cc chambers and the C3AE-C with 56-61 cc chambers. G.

Rusty, what is the flow numbers for C4AE 6090G heads? Intake and exhaust please! I have them with hard exhaust inserts, stainless intake with tulips, stainless exhaust. The insert id is larger than stock, contact on the valve is almost on the outer edge, normal contact width. Bowl and port clean up only. This is on the 410 motor. Months ago when I was playing on the Sims Dyno my numbers came off higher than everyone else because a Ford mechanic gave me flow numbers that were way too high. Made me feel good about the power and torque numbers but like an a$$. Just the facts please, thanks.

Carl....=o&o>....

Okay thanks I've got that site also. I'll post the Stan Weiss site for you. I'll take a look in the favs and find it. He has listings for stock and ported C4-G's and many others. Bur no 406 heads. G.

Here it is:
Valve sizes: 2.02 / 1.55
Pressure drop: 28" H2O

Lift / intake flow / exhaust flow (cfm)
.2 / 130 / 111
.3 / 180 / 135
.4 / 220 / 155
.5 / 236 / 165

The casting number is C2SE-B. I have installed the 2.05 intake and 1.65 exh stainless valves. Any special tips on velocity improvement on intake or exhaust? Does anyone know of a FE drag race site?

FordFE.com You probably just typed it in wrong but your intake should be 2.09 (428CJ type = 2.09 intake/1.65 exhaust)

It's going on a .060 390 with NOS JE 12-1 dome pistons. The guy at JE said that the pistons are about 30 to 40 yrs old. No longer listed in catalog. LOL. It is going into a 64 fairlane w/ mustangII front end and backhalfed. The reason that I am looking for flow numbers is I am trying to decide on a solid cam for the motor. The pistons don't have valve notches so valve timing is everything on this one. Any and all suggestions are welcome concerning motor and cam. Not planning on pushing motor much, if any, past 6k rpm. Going with C6 tranny and what ever stall the cam requires.
Any suggestions on head porting?
Thanks in advance.
