Yep there will be plenty of them. My last one I didn't want a/c or nothing so I practically had all the wires torn out except the ignition and the alt. Plus was able to get rid of all that vacuum solenoid and stuff. Sure made a lot more room in the compartment.

Still waiting for my ignition box and carb but should have them late next week I hope. Then I can start on mine.

What carb did you use?

Just a motorcraft 2bbl. Nothing fancy really. All goodies courtesy of happyjack and 74 bronco. I think in the futere I may go to a MSD box. Maybe the "offroad" box. Kinda pricey though..

Thats the one I ordered, the MSD 6 off road. Haven't found a carb yet but am looking at the Holly 350.

Yeah but holley=poopy gas mileage. IMO. I`m shooting for best all around drive-ability. My 86 was pretty tired and not much fun around town.

Some places offer a package deal for the MSD Offroad you get that plus wires and all the wiring hook-ups for your wiring harness. I plan on getting that for my 87 and it's only 299. That's for a 302. So if you have a V6 it might be cheaper.

Not really Thomas the kits are the same except maybe the wires. The main boxes though run 6 or 8 and are the same. Mine was about 240.

Heh, 240 ain`t bad. Lotta zap for a little 2.8! I wish ford woulda used an inline 6 on the B2 sometimes. Add 2 cyls to a 2.3 or something like that. I like inlines and they`re easier to work on.

New carb`s on and hooked up. Duraspark box is on, and son of a gun, the holes for it are in the fender apron! The connector on the spark box pretty much fell apart though. I`ll be getting another next week. Now on to the wiring mess....

Oh yeah, the vacuum canister was totally rusted out on the bottom. No way it would ever have worked.

Yep and extend the vent tube as much as you can and run as tall an air cleaner as possible. The tall air cleaner will let you run the vent higher. Not a problem on Swede's carb as that carb vents to the charcoal canister. Might pull the bowl and install a whistle tube or screen vent baffle also. I think Moroso makes a foam baffle slosh plate that will trap and keep fuel next to the jets. This can be a problem with the Holley as the jets are up off the floor of the bowl.

Actually Clint that is one of the things I was looking at, a spring for the needle. May go with another carb though now.
