NP435 noises

I dont know if anyone can help, but Ill give er a shot.

Just recently, What I believe to be my tranny as it stops when I engage clutch, or take it out of gear, has started making a terrible metalish squeeking noise. Only in 1st and 2nd and only up to around 30-40km/h. Oh, and reverse too.
The noise is like......a metal on metal type squeek, and fluctuates in sound level eg.loud, quiet, loud quiet. But fast.

Also, I was at teh shop last night and used the hoist, lifted up the rear and threw her in gear. I couldnt get it to make the noise. So seems only with a load on.

Any help? Would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I'd drain the grease from the trans and inspect it. If you have a lot of metalics in the grease then it's time to pull tranny open her up and take a peak.
Another place to check is the rear diff it could be worn and telegraphing the noise through the drive shaft making it sound like the problem is in the trans. Beleive it or not I've run across this alot. Just check it like you did the trans drain the grease.
If your like most of us both your trans and diff most likely could benefit from the fresh grease.

Check to make sure all the connecting bolts from the engine/transmission/transfer case are there and tight. The top ones probably have to be checked from inside the cab.

Ok Thanks guys, Ill check all te bolts and everything.
I should also tell you that i just put in a new center section (9inch) As i blew the other one to peices. I had to change the flange on the rear end itself, and if i tightened it to tight, it wouldnt turn at all so i loosend it off some.

I originaly thought it was the rear end as this started happening not long after i replaced centers.
But then I also figured with the clutch in it stops and only in certain gears it was the tranny.

Eityher way, Im getting a D60 for the rear, these tires are to much for the poor lil 9 in.
Thankls for the feedback, I appreciate it alot.
