Transfer Case questions.
Hi guys, I have a 1972 4x4 with a divorced TC Dana 20. The mechanic is telling me you cannot get parts for it anymore. Is this true? It is starting to howl a bit and it is bugging me. I have a 78 with a NP205 in it both trucks are 4 speeds. Question could I bolt the 205 in place? or would I have to swap the cross members and get new drive shafts too? I have also heard a dana 24 will bolt into the dana 20 hole?? I have looked thru this forum and not heard a metion of the dana 20......... Thanks

Brad there shouldn't be any trouble getting parts for D 20. My supplier at OKC has parts for this box.
In 77 Ford switched to the NP 203 and NP 205 they also married them and for this reason the 205 will not bolt in you would have to swap trans and all.
