HELP!! Truck wont start
1999 f-250, I went to leave and it started up fine and i realized i left the checkbook in the house so i shut the truck off went inside grabbed the checkbook and when i got back in to start the truck it wouldnt fire. It turns over fine, the tach is moving while it is cranking, there is a clicking sound coming from under the dash while it cranks. Everything seems normal, wait to start comes on for about 7 seconds then goes out. What could this be, I have reset the CPU by disconnecting the batteries with no luck.

mine did the same thing, i chased a bunch of leads because the no start problem (ticking) did not have the tale tale signs of the cps failing. after some waisted time, i change the cps and it's been running perfect ever since. my sysmtoms were, ran fine when i parked it and when i got back in to start it, it just cranked over and when you released the key the injectors were randomly energizing (ticking) and the tach was going crazy and engine was not moving. so, going by what you described, i would suggest you change your cps.
