stupid things...

Ok, what the most stupid thing you have ever witnessed somebody else doing with their truck and wished you had camera on hand to record it?

Today I was at Home Depot looking at doors for my home and of course I did not like their selection! As i was looking there were these two guys shopping as well! each had a large cart, one loaded with some lumber and a prehung exterior door the other was loaded with about 25-80lbs bags of ready mix cement. so far not very unusual except they were dressed like they were each going on date all the gold chains and such. As they headed for the check out I continued shopping a little longer, upon leaving they were loading their Escalade, all done up with the bling bling-20" rims low profile tires. looked Ok but not my cup of tea. So sat in my truck and watched as they continued loading witch was pretty funny on its own! they had got done loading, and of course they left both carts in the middle of the lot. and the trucks looks to sagging quite a bit! they get in and proceed to leave as they pullout and over the first of two speed bumps 1st OK on the second both rear tires give out.
sad thing is I wish I had my camera with me.

i once saw a ranchero with a firebird loaded on top of it. dont know why, i think they were going to the junkyard with both cars. some of the other stupid things i see is when i go fishing and people pull up from the ramp and get a running start backwards and slam their brakes just before they reach the ramp to try to "jerk" the boat off of the trailer and as they slam the brakes, being that the ramp is wet, they lose traction and just continue down the ramp and into the water. i love to take my time when i launch and land the boat just to see the look on their faces when they end up in the water. funniest stuff i have ever saw.

I have seen a jetta load with 3000 lbs of sheetrock on top of it, it smashed the whole rear end. The person had to sign a piece of paper saying they will not sue Home Depot.

when I hooked chains to a 2000 cummins 2500. it was lifted, micky thompson baja claws, the whole 9 yards. I got pulled for 5 minuits in a circle the size of a football field. it was pretty funny.

buddy of mine with a 82 silverado k10, racing a 4 wheeler in a cornfield. I tried to convince him not to, i told him he'd break something on that heap of chevy... anyways he was winning... till his transfer case basically blew up. took him 6 months to find another.

not necesarily stupid, but I saw a feller with an '03 F-250 with one of those ladder racks on top, he was towing a boat and had another on a trailer but the boat and the trailer were on TOP of the ladder rack. just settin' up there. they were all wrapped in plastic like he was transporting them for sale or soemthing.

Gold chains? Escalade? Bling-bling? 1 Ton of Ready Mix?

These guys were definitely fitting someone for a cement suit. I'll even go so far as to bet one of them was named Pauly Walnuts or something.

Not trucks but stupid just the same .... when some guy on one of the chopper TV shows puts his front wheel against something and burns up a perfectly good tire.

I once saw a mini-pickup loaded with about 15 pieces of 4' x 8' sheetrock. The mini of course can't fit it flat, so they had it setting up on the fender bumps. I didn't even wait around to see them hit their first bump

Not all of these involve trucks:

A bunch of 16 foot 2x4s loaded into a BMW 3series convertible. They were stacked in the passenger seat leaning back, way out the back.

A Camaro attempting to recover a 17' runabout from the lake. Was funny watchng the car roll slowly backwards with the wheels spinning forward

Anytime I see any truck so overly loaded that the rear tires look like they are in the bed and the front looks like it has a 6 inch lift!

And finally the time I saw a guy with a pair of 12 foot kayaks strap them to the TOP of his Ford Ranger's cab - even though the bed was completely empty.

Hey, we can't all afford brand new 1 tons...

And, you ever try sticking a 12 foot boat in a 6' Ranger bed? Overhanging, unstable load. That's why they make canoe racks, though.

Saw 2 clowns in a hatchback compact car driving down the road with a load of large rocks in the back. The front wheels were barely touching when everything was smooth and level, but let them hit even an expansion joint in the road and the front would lift about 6 inches or so! They were going all of about 5 miles per hour. We were laughing so hard we had to stop on the shoulder. Of course, this allowed us to watch this circus even longer.
