hey guys,
i was out staring at my 04 xlt 5.4l scab and noticed that both front tires were wearing on the outer and inner edges of both tires faster then the rest of the tires and the backs are wearing perfectly even. i have 12,000+ miles on them and shame on me, but havent had them rotated yet(going in next week for oil changed and rotation). looking for posibilities why this is happening, or is it normal since these are the turning wheels. please help me with this.
Have you been keeping an eye on the tire pressure? To much maybe? Is this a stock setup? I believe they have a warranty up to 20K now. May try to see if dealer will replace them. My fronts were replaced at 5k due to uneven wear.
i will check the pressure, i thought that my have something to do with it. this is stock setup(general tires). the wear is even on both tires and the both edges of each. i may still mention it to the dealer just to see if they will do anything. also pleae continue to reply if there are other opinions.
Put a little pressure on the dealer. Tell them you are not happy with the way the tires are wearing. Sometimes the squeaky wheel gets the grease (no pun intended)
