Question about my tires

hey guys,
i was out staring at my 04 xlt 5.4l scab and noticed that both front tires were wearing on the outer and inner edges of both tires faster then the rest of the tires and the backs are wearing perfectly even. i have 12,000+ miles on them and shame on me, but havent had them rotated yet(going in next week for oil changed and rotation). looking for posibilities why this is happening, or is it normal since these are the turning wheels. please help me with this.

thanks,
greg

Have you been keeping an eye on the tire pressure? To much maybe? Is this a stock setup? I believe they have a warranty up to 20K now. May try to see if dealer will replace them. My fronts were replaced at 5k due to uneven wear.

If the wear is even, inner and outer edges. that is normal / or Low pressure. The edges take a beating in corners.

Greg,

Put a little pressure on the dealer. Tell them you are not happy with the way the tires are wearing. Sometimes the squeaky wheel gets the grease (no pun intended)

Terrible joke. Good answer, though.
Good luck with the dealer,
Chris
