emission egr valve
i had a problem with check engine light codes told me to change egr valve the oem number at the parts store doesn't match completely must they match for emission purposes or go with there part list oem number on my 1994 ford explorer 4.0 is F37E-9D475-B2A AND the replacement is E6AE-94D475-B2A WILL THIS PART WORK OR DOES THE OEM HAVE TO BE EXACTLY THS SAME THANKS FOR THE INPUT IN ADVANCE J94TBIRD

I can't really help with the difference between the valve part numbers. Often times it means that they aren't interchangeable, others it doesn't matter. Did you have a chance to bring the old part in? Did you call the Ford dealership to see what there parts database says?
You didn't say in any detail what diagnosis you did. I just wanted to point out that, a vast majority of the time, EGR codes seem to end up being an electrical fault in the EGR sensor or its circuit. If you've thoroughly diagnosed the problem and determined that the valve itself is at fault, then, by all means, proceed with replacing the valve. If, on the other hand, all you've done is pulled codes and got an EGR code and decided to replace the valve solely on the trouble code, then consider diagnosing it more thoroughly. Wouldn't want to go to the trouble of replacing the wrong part.

codes
mr shorty this is my first time using the codes the codes that came up were 332 did not open /respond during test oe if memory code did not open intermittantly and 335 egr feedback signal is / was way out of range this is why i came to the conclusion a faulty egr valve [ am i right] thanks for your input i will check with ford on the parts ###
