I just bought a Pioneer AVIC-N2 for my 2004 expedition. I'm having a hard time installing the car speed signal input. It says to connect to the speed detection circuit lead but I don't know where that is and I have been looking all day. Does anyone know where it is so I can finish the install.
Also it says I need to connect to the power supply on the parking brake switch in order to view video. Please let me know if there is a way around this.
speed sensor wire is GRAY/BLACK
you should find it right in the factory wire harness for stock radio
should be an unused wire if you have an adapter plugged to it for your aftermarket head unit
if not it is in the dash
the parking brake lead needs a negative trigger wire
beware not only of the legal issue--but I believe on the N2's
they will sense the vehicle in motion thru the gps and automatically
shut down dvd playback
