How much suspension height?

I have an 88 F-250 4x4 (TTB)with the 7.3L. I have noticed that the front end only has about 3/4 inch gap before it is sitting on the bump stops.

Can any one tell me if this is correct?

Thanks,
Adam

Seems low. I am in the process of putting in add a leafs to the front of my 94 (351). My stops are about an inch away with too much negative camber.

Mine measure 1 3/4" off the bumper withe the two leaf set up and a 460 in an F250. The diesel weighs a fair amount more than even a 460 so you may be in the ballpark.

Have the springs re-arched. Don't know where you are, should cost around $100.00 just to re-arch, you pull & re-install. You'll need new bushings. You'll also need patience and a big hammer to install without a press.
