Got a set of Wetokole's for the front. 05 F-250 Crewcab Lariate Luxury. I am having trouble putting the seat bottom portion, not the seat back. The problem is the plastic trim on the seat bottom, door side. Its the one that covers or surround the seat controls. I cannot for the life of me get the strap between the plastic and the leather. This is the single strap that goes from left to right (as opposed to the 2 that go from front to back). Has anybody else had this problem? SHould I take off the trim? How would I do this? Don't want to break the trim!
Thanks in advanced.
P.S.
The seat controls are a lumbar ****, a seatback adjustment lever twoards the rear of the seat and electronic controls (heat, forward-back, and up and down). The trim sits real close and tight to the leather seat.
I know exactly where you are talking about.. however I got mine through there fine. Try working it in from the back portion of the seat or maybe even the front. I had a more difficult time just trying to get under the seat enough to attach all the little straps together.
I'm not any help.. but my Wet Okole covers went on fine.. I know where you're talking about, but I had no problems whatsoever. I do have XLT with cloth seats though. Just be patient, the covers are great, well worth having.
Thanks for the reply. The "tech" at WetOkole, suggested to work it through with a "slim-jim". Hmm, the junk food or the car theft tool? BUt I got his point, something flat. I guess I was just looking for confirmation as to whether I should just "work it" or remove the trim, which is just held on with some clips as far as I can tell. I'll just work it a bit more. Maybe see if I can raise the seat a bit...
So just for completeness, in case anybody else has the problem.
Got a toung depressor from the local pharmacy and taped the webbing (strap) to it. Then was able to guide the webbing through tight gap between trim and the seat. It also allowed me to guide the webbing around some of the obsticales in so it sits close to the seat cushion.
