Jacobs Ignition
I am thinking of ordering a jacobs ignition for my 1985 F250 351W. The engine is a factory Ford rebuild with 60,000k on it thats about 40,000m. I am wondering if anyone has tried one and how good it works. Thanks for the input.

Jacobs Ignition
Can- I put a Jacobs setup on my 71, the difference was dramatic, going from points to electronic+computer. Since you already have electronic you may have less work than I had.The most noticeable difference for me was the instant starting and no hesitation in very cold weather, no more warming up before driving away. DF

Actually they didn't start put the Electronic Fuel Injection in untill 1986 so I missed. I have decided to order it because I am sure I will save the cost just in gas within about a year. Thanks for the input.

Jacobs Ignition
I put a Jacobs Mileagemaster on my 1985 F-150 4x4 351W 2bbl, 4 Sp MOD tranny back in 1986. I had to replace the wires under warranty once and the computer box under warranty once. The starting is easier, runs smoother but I never did notice any change in fuel economy. I still have the truck and Jacobs is still working fine. My smog tests come out clean as a whistle.
