Need advice on engine replacement

I'm looking for a replacement engine for my fuel injected 300. If I find an older model carbureted engine, will my fuel injected head bolt up to it? If anyone has done this and can tell me the problems I might run into, please let me know.

Thanks,

I beleive a efi head works on a carb'd engine just not the other way around. Also i beleive it will pump your compression a little to about 9.2 or so i think i remember hearing. Kinda like the old a square is a rectangle but, a rectangle isn't always a square thing. Do no quote me on these though as i have never done it it is only here say. Do a search on it something like efi head on a carb'd motor or such. Im sure you will find something good luck!

the head will bolt up but you might run into a problem with the knock sensor bung not being drilled out (?)
