master cylinder
i installed a master cylinder today. could not bleed right side rear port (afraid of breaking the port) should i just go for it and see if it breaks or what are the chances of air getting into it. hopefully no air got in it. new to all of this, wasn't going to do it then said just do it. thanks for the help.

BillG, How are the brakes after replacement of master cylinder? Do they seem OK. I have seen only on occasion that after replacing master cylinder, the brake lines virtually had no air in them. Are the brakes functioning properly without bleeding that last port? Sometimes after letting the truck sit over night, some air in the lines may work its way back to the cylinder. It is very possible that you may not need to bleed that port, but I myself would always have it lingering around in my head that there could be air in that line. If you do go for it, I would try to spray some type of liquid wrench or WD-40 on the bleeder port and let it sit over night. I would also pick up another bleeder port at your local parts house so you have it just in case. They don't cost too much. I replaced the RABS valve on my 92' F-250 and never lost a drop of fluid and had no problem with brake operation. I still checked for air by bleeding rear brakes and never found any. Good luck.

jakegypsum, thanks for the imput. I drove the truck for a little bit. everything seemed ok, tomorrow i will test it better. i am doing what you said about putting wd40 on overnite. see what happens tomorrow. like you said it will be in the back of my head, that 1 port i didn't bleed. thanks for the help Bill
