Emissions problems / technicalities!!
I finally found a shop that will run straight pipes in place of the cats. I plan on running true duals (two piece headers) with the straight pipes, to a loud popping glasspack exiting under each step of my bed with two chrome tips on each side. (hopefully you won't even be able to see ANY of the exhaust) So my question is, what will it sound like? Will it sound ricey, or will the long stoke, large displacement overcome that???
Since I'll be running a four barrel, what do I do with all of my emissions lines? I've got the plastic four emission post on the front of the engine. So I can pass the inspection, I'll leave them connected up front, but will have them disconnected in the back hidden somewhere. So will the removal of these hoses screw anything up? What will it screw up, and how do I compensate for it? Which hose will be the biggest problem?
What will I do about my EGR setup? That would probably be the first thing they notice missing!! Does aybody make a 4 bbl egr plate?
